He ran into opposition from the very groups opposing tax reform today.
This is one of my Song Parodies, which I loved to do. Mad Magazine, a satirical publication that I took everywhere with me--even hidden in my schoolbooks to read during class--inspired these.
The inimitable Mad cartoonist and caricaturist Mort Drucker (whom I tried desperately to imitate), illustrated song parodies that spoke to my love of art and words together.
This, as Mad would say, is "sung to the tune of:" "I Just Called to Say I Love You," by Stevie Wonder.
My editor at The Greenville News would only publish one of my song parodies if I could sing it to prove that it could be sung with my words.
