MY OLD CARTOONS
You can find them at The Ohio State University's Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum Database.
I donated my "papers" to the OSU Cartoon Research Library, as it was then known, about 12 years ago. They have all my originals that cover national or international issues.

Herb Hartsook, at the U of SC, has said he wants the pencil sketches that I scan and use to do the digital work.
He's pretty persistent, so he'll get them--or most of them!

1981-CARTOON ABOUT VIET VETS AND PARADE....
There is a small controversy today about "Canyon of Heroes" parades in
New York City. Some believe that it is time to honor the troops who
fought in Iraq with a ticker tape parade. New York's Mayor Blumberg,
bowing to the wishes of the Pentagon, has rejected the idea of such an
event "at this time."
Ironically, the 2012 Super Bowl Champs were so honored just a few days after their victory.
It reminded me of the joyous attention and ticker tape parade showered on the newly released hostages from Iran in 1981.
I did this cartoon at that time as a reminder that the troops who had fought in the Vietnam War had not had such a welcome when they returned from the battlefield.
For this cartoon, the Freedoms Foundation gave me their principal award, The George Washington Medal.
The Vietnam Vets finally got a parade in 1985, ten years after the war ended.

OLD CARTOONS THAT COULD (ALMOST) RUN TODAY-2
President Ronald Reagan proposed, in 1985, closing tax loopholes that favored the wealthy, and ending federal subsidies to corporations.
Yes.
He did.
He ran into opposition from the very groups opposing tax reform today.
This is one of my Song Parodies, which I loved to do. Mad Magazine, a satirical publication that I took everywhere with me--even hidden in my schoolbooks to read during class--inspired these.
The inimitable Mad cartoonist and caricaturist Mort Drucker (whom I tried desperately to imitate), illustrated song parodies that spoke to my love of art and words together.
This, as Mad would say, is "sung to the tune of:" "I Just Called to Say I Love You," by Stevie Wonder.
My editor at The Greenville News would only publish one of my song parodies if I could sing it to prove that it could be sung with my words.
