Dodd-Frank legislation recently passed by the US Congress requires large financial institutions to give shareholders a nonbinding vote on the obscenely large bonuses routinely awarded each year to company executives.
Citigoup shareholders just voted an unprecedented rejection of such compensation for Citigroup's executives.
