"Botany Bay Boneyard"

I did this painting from a photograph I took at Edisto Beach's Botany Bay plantation in South Carolina. The huge driftwood tree trunks and strong sunlight created very interesting shadows on the sand, and I enjoyed painting this. I plan to paint a larger version of this and other photos I took that day.

I did this painting from a photograph of a gate in our neighborhood. I love the autumn colors and the blueish hill in the distant background. The shadows falling diagonally across the bottom help create a pleasing composition.

This painting was done from a photograph taken by my husband on the Walker Golf Course in Clemson, SC. I like the snaky shadows, the colors of the trees, and the feeling of depth and atmospheric perspective created by the lake and the mountains.
