About Me

kate salley palmer
I have been a professional political cartoonist and a children's book writer-illustrator. Right now, I am concentrating on painting--mainly oil on canvas, at this point. I like to paint almost everything--from an antique silver coffee pot to landscapes to pet portraits. My paintings are all sizes. Some are only 6" x 6". But the oil painting I'm working on now is 36" x 24". I love the interplay of light and shadow in paintings and try to incorporate that into my work.
